he Graphic collection displays a wide spectrum of print art, from formal explorations to the thorough and focused “study” of real environs – from a subjective and expansive motif to constructing new life and new realism with phantasmagoria icons.

We present graphics from Russia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia from roughly the beginning of the 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century.

You can see independent prints as watercolors appearing as sketches for future easel painting or drawings and sketches from nature, which the artists have created solely for themselves. Sketches also appear produced through sincere and spontaneous creation – an important element of the collection.

We work with artists that have greatly varying techniques: etching, aquatint, dry point, mezzotint, lithography, woodcut and linocut. At times the techniques are combined to render a more expressive representation.

			Alexej Fedorenko Was born in 1961 in Kiev. In 1982 he graduated from art college and faculty design. In 1992 he graduated from art academy in Kiev, faculty of book graphic. He work includes books illustration, design, painting, and graphics. Since 1985 he has taken part in many exhibitions. 			Albin Brunovsky Albin Brunovsky was born December, 25th, 1935, in Zohor (Slovakia) From 1951 until 1955 he studied at the School of Art. From 1956 until 1961 he studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Bratislava. In 1967, Brunovsky taught at the Academy (studio of graphics and book art,) where, in 1981, he became a professor. 			Olga Cechova Olga Cechova was born in June, 1925. She graduated from the Academy of Applied Art, Prague, in 1952; she studied with Professors K. Syolinsky and A. Strnadem (sp?). She began her career in linocut, woodcut, dry point and lithographic techniques, but later concentrated on dry point, wood engravings, and collage. Her free fantasy and colorful symbols can be seen in her many illustrations (she has illustrated 110 books for children). 			Irina Makoveeva Irina Makoveeva was born in 1954. Graduated from the Moscow State Pedagogical University in 1976. She has been a member of the artist Union since 1980. Her works are exhibited at different museums in Russia and in other countries. 			Vaclav Bostik Vaclav Bostik was born in Horni Ujezd near litomysl, (Czech Republic). He graduated from the High Technical School in Prague - (1933-1937) - and Academy of Art in Prague, (1937-1939,1945 Prof. Mowak). Bostik’s first one man show occurred in 1957 and he participated in a collective exhibition in 1937. He has been a member of Umelecka Beseda (Art discussion group) since 1960. 			Jan Rambousek Jan Rambousek was born in 1885 in Liben-Prague. After studying at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts he moved to France to study at the Paris Ecole des Beaux Arts (1921-1922). 			Olga Keleinikova Was born in May 1953 in Moscow. The first lessons in art she received from her father Andrey Kelejnikov, well known book illustrator. and animal painter. The interest to nature and life of animals is also hereditary- her mother svetlana Kelejnikova was a professor of biology in Moscow State Univercity. Olga was graduated from the Academy of Print in Moscow in 1980. After then and to present ahe works as a graphic artist and book illustrator. About 20 books published belonging to famous russian foreigner autors, has been illustrateded by his drawings. The first exlibris was created in 1992. 			Moisey Izrailevitch Fejgin Moisey Izrailevitch Fejgin as born 21.5.1914 in Orsha. In 1942, he completed the Surikov Art Academy. His first exhibition was in 1938. He participated in many exhibitions in Russia and abroad. In 1957, he was a participant of International Exhibition in Brussels. His work is featured in the Royal Collection in the engraver cabinet of the Royal Library. In 1958 he was a participant of the International Exhibition of Graphics -Bienniale in San-Paulo, Brazil. In 1967 and in 1982 he held his most extensive personal exhibition in Moscow (his etchings, watercolors, and reliefs). His works are in private collection and in the Tretiakov gallery, Russian Museum, Pushkin's Art Museum and also in 9 regional museums in Russia. His works are also in private collections in Finland, Cyprus, Italy, Bulgaria, Korea, the United States, Germany, and England. His themes include portraits, still life, and landscapes.
