Jan Rambousek
Jan Rambousek was born in 1885 in Liben-Prague. After studying at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts he moved to France to study at the Paris Ecole des Beaux Arts (1921-1922). After returning to Prague in 1923 he worked until1929 as the assistant to M.Svabinsky at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. From 1929 until 1935 he worked as a cartoonist and journalist. From 1935 until 1945 he was an art-assistant at the State Edition in Prague. He is also known for his work as a poster designer from 1936 until 1947.
