Alexander Abramov was born in Moscow in 1947. He graduated from the Moscow Textile Institute in 1972. He worked in theaters as a painter of sets (curtains and tapestry).

Since 1987 he's participated in exhibitions of the modern avantguard painting in Moscow and abroad (gallery "Atelier-T",Austria);auctiones (Dorotheum,Austria;Tatsun,Germany). In 1991 he participated in the exhibition of the Underground Art in Manege,(Moscow). In 1992 he organizedhis personal exhibition "Analitika vanguard" (Tushino,Moscow) In 1994 he participated in the collective exhibition in the Cebtral Artists Hous (Moscow) His workes are in private collections in Russia,Europe and USA.For the artist canvases and pictures are represent border between two world:visual and unvisual,the unstable world of illussions and the ideal world of symbols. The main tendency in his art is the incartation of the world of intuition,revelation and insight,the world that evoques meditation and has a positive energic cargo. Abramov's canvases include the mictery of orgin,metaphysical abstraction and geometrical macrostructure. The artist considers the second world a pure creation,achievment of the highest freedom.
